Week 13 Steady on track

Well another week races by and the end of the year approaches. Sorry for the late posting again this week but I had an appointments with Mr Liam Gallagher Sunday night as you can see. Another social test in our new found lifestyle knowing I would be going via a few pubs on the way.

I approached by restricting my Saturday evening food and drink to that of a normal week and during the day Sunday kept my eating reduced.

I didn't drink lots on the evening but was comfortable knowing I had compensated for the social event.

It wouldn't have bothered me in any event as I am here to live too but making other sacrifices not only keeps me on track but mentally helps me cope with the excess in my eating plan.

The rest of the week has been another busy one with pressures of been on the road and eating preparation as well as dining with clients.

The same applied as with Sunday and I approached it as a whole week not day-to-day so I could trade off the bad with the good. Maybe not ideal but it gets me through.

After my last few weeks or even month of a stalemate I am starting to see results go in the right direction again and feeling good about myself. The scales are reflecting this and going into the Christmas period I am prepared and placed well to take on the party season.

Again this week some good group support from Chris on how to refine eating and habits especially over the festive period and also a new bible on keeping on track. The later is something I will be able to refer back to for years to come.

In between my busy work life this week I have also had to find time to start the final paper of the nutritional course I started a few months ago and have a deadline of the 23rd to complete. Have I learnt anything? Of course I have but so much of it I was aware of due to starting up with Chris and my own eating/lifestyle plan.

I am sure we are all feeling the same as the festive time approaches (or is it actually upon us?) I will be enjoying life with the rest of you but maybe not as intensely as I have in previous years. I am 56 after all and maybe need to slow down! But since embarking on my new regime another thing I am now comfortable with is the ease at which I can revert back to the healthy lifestyle.

This coming week however has presented me with an further challenge. I am suffering from a back issue which I have never had to deal with before. I missed the gym yesterday and might have a week rest! It won't be good for me both physically and mentally not training as he helps in so many ways. Will be interesting to see how it impacts on my progress and I will let you know.

Obviously I am hoping for a miricle cure overnight and bouncing back Thursday.
