Week 18 - New toys and goals

Back to it then we are all in work mode again and for me it is a tough part of the year. I hate the end of winter when there is little to look forward to and the weather is poor not to mention those dark nights just go on.
It makes me almost want to hibernate but that makes me come home from work and search out the comfort food and in some cases a warming scotch.
Like to know if anybody else feels the same.
So I guess this is where we dig in and get through the other side.
My eating has got better again after the holidays and the scales are showing the change and things are moving in the right direction.
I've got back into the gym and my usual programme was achieved this week. But I have also completed the first week of the couch to 5k programme in an attempt to get me running again. It is so good for me as it starts off with the basics. Rightly or wrongly I am initially doing it on the treadmill but hope to progress to outdoor once I improve and it gets a little warmer.
But I am running!
The other development I have this week is the purchase in the photo. Yep I am getting out on a bike hopefully just another thing to keep moving and there are some good easy routes locally to get me going and with this and my running I will be updating on here.
Wish I could swim I'd be doing a Triathlon lol
I right this blog to get my thoughts and feelings across and as I have said before if I inspire or help just one person then it has all been worthwhile to me. But I got asked yesterday to help in some other way which is more hands on. It is a secret at the moment Iam afraid but hopefully I will be telling you how it was next week.
We are all here to help each other in this and none of us are better than the other we just need to inspire and motivate
